About the tournament
October 22nd , 2017 is the date for the 2nd annual Vancouver Soccer Fives Tournament with all proceeds going to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event will be held in Vancouver’s premier soccer venue - BC Place Stadium.
Fifteen minute, 5-on-5 soccer games will be held on “mini fields”. Each team will be guaranteed to play a minimum of 4 games plus at least 2 “playoff” games.

- Professional referee’s for the competitive division
The event is 100% non-profit. We are doing this years event for Makena Whittle who is bravely battling with focal Epilepsy. All proceeds from registrations and sponsorship will go directly to the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at BC Children’s Hospital. There are two options to register
1. Pay the team registration fee of $500 with no minimum fundraising requirement, however we encourage each player to raise $100
2. Register your team for free with a minimum team fundraising goal of $1,400. All donations go directly to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, any donation over $20 is eligible for a tax receipt.
Each team must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 players on it’s roster.
There are 5 players on the field with 1 goalie and 4 players. Substitutions are done on the fly, player must reach the touch line before the next player enters the playing field.
If the ball leave the field of play, it will be kicked back in at the same location it left the field by the opposing team. There are no throw-ins or corner kicks.
Players intentionally kicking the ball out of the field of play will result in the other team having a penalty kick
There will be a rec-division for player of all abilities and a competitive division for those that are a little more serious about their soccer.
Rec-division players must be at least 10 years of age.
Competitive division player must be at least 16 years of age.
